Privacy policy

This policy explains what Provenant ("we") collects and how we use it. It's written plainly and will be replaced by a counsel-reviewed version before general availability.

What we collect

• Account & contact data you give us (name, email, company) when you request access or use the API.
• Action data needed to perform a requested action (e.g. a subject's name and email, a document hash). We avoid storing raw identity documents — those are handled by the verifying provider.
• Proof & usage records — the signed proofs we issue and basic logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To deliver the actions you request, issue and verify proofs, secure the service, and communicate with you. We do not sell personal data.

Providers

We share the minimum necessary with the providers that fulfill an action — for identity verification, Stripe Identity; for notarization, a licensed RON network — and with infrastructure vendors that host the service.

Retention

We keep verification results and signed proofs for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@useprovenant.xyz.
