These terms govern use of the Provenant API and website during early access. They're a plain-language placeholder pending a counsel-reviewed agreement.
You may use Provenant to perform real-world actions on behalf of yourself or parties who have authorized you. You agree not to use it to misrepresent identity, forge proofs, or for any unlawful purpose.
Provenant issues cryptographic proofs attesting that an action was performed by the named provider. Proofs are verifiable as issued; you are responsible for verifying a proof before relying on it. Regulated acts (identity verification, notarization) are performed by licensed third-party providers.
During early access the service is provided "as is," without warranties, and may change or pause. We'll give reasonable notice of material changes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Provenant is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
